“ Whether business is loud and hectic or quiet and laid back, staff here are always polite and friendly. A ramp at the main entrance and a lift in the lobby make the entire building very disability-friendly. There are adequate tables and chairs outside for the warmer days of the year and a good range of inviting sofas along with 2- to 4-person tables for those preferring to stay indoors. Child-friendly high chairs for infants are available. Unfortunately, only the outdoor furniture has arm rests and a selection of higher seats would be very useful for disabled adults. The standard toilet pans in the Ladies and Gents are rather low but facilities for the disabled seem better. The café is dog-friendly providing a snug little corner furnished with treats and water bowls. The café's regular menu boasts an impressive range of sweet and savoury items. Both of us ordered Americano coffees with Mochas to follow up later. Mine were decaf while my husband's were regular. The Mochas were well-balanced, rich and frothy with chocolate powder on top. The Americanos had a nice smooth, strong flavour and a pungent earthy aroma. I ordered a New Yorker Toastie which came with a small side salad. The salad was a lovely lemony couscous with fresh crunchy chunks of vegetables and some lettuce. I chose it with granary bread. The cheese was nicely melted, creating lovely strings when bitten into but I would have preferred a little more. I enjoyed the crunch from the gherkin and overall I was happy with the flavours and the portion size. My husband ordered a generous portion of Coronation Chicken Jacket Potato which came with a small side salad similar to mine but with some added mixed beans. Just as I did, he, too, thought the tasty mixed salad balanced out well with the potato. On the down side, for his liking, the coronation chicken lacked sultanas and spice and the potato could have done with a little more time in the microwave. Overall, the café offers good value and, aside from all else, we enjoyed our visit. We will continue going back there from time to time. ”

“ Lovely post football training lunch with four young grandchildren. They had lunch boxes but my open avo sandwich was the highlight. And the staff were very patient and understanding cleaning up after us. ”

“ Love the food here! The breakfast French toast is my favourite and can never go wrong with their bacon, brie & cranberry panini so yummy! All lovely ladies and so good if you have little ones/babies. Shame it's not bigger and doesn't have aircon, however on hot days they open all doors to let the air flow through. Love an iced chocolate in this heat! ”
